Traditional readings associate Qi Sha with competitive or high-pressure positions and with authority won rather than granted. Career readings follow the god's defined meaning and are weighed with the whole chart.

Traditional readings associate Qi Sha with competitive or high-pressure positions and with authority won rather than granted. The tradition's emphasis on management applies here too — the reading depends on what else in the chart handles the pressure.

The association follows from the 'indirect' classification: authority that arrives without a position attached. It is grouped under Water (水) in the five-element system.
