Daily Horoscope

Two systems, one day. The Western side reads where today's Moon sits against each sign's Sun; the Chinese side reads the day's stem and branch against each animal's earthly branch. Both are recalculated every day, and both name a mechanism rather than a verdict.

Daily horoscope: all twelve star signs, Oct 25

The reading below is cast for Sunday, October 25, 2026. Western signs are placed from the Sun's position; the tone comes from where today's Moon sits relative to each sign's Sun.

Today's reading for the twelve Chinese zodiac animals

Animals are matched by earthly branch: today is a 壬申 day, and each animal's result depends on how that branch meets its own — combination, clash, harm, or nothing formal. The day's element is Fire.

How these are calculated

The sign itself is not a matter of opinion — it comes from the Sun's ecliptic longitude. On Oct 25 the Sun is in Scorpio, and the Moon is at 23° in Aries, Full Moon and 99% lit. Those are computed from a standard astronomical series (good to well under a degree), not read off a table.

The tone for each sign is then the angular distance between that Moon and the sign's Sun: a conjunction, sextile, trine, square or opposition within orb, or no major aspect at all. That is why one sign gets a restless day and its neighbour gets a quiet one while the sky is identical.

The animal side works from a different input. Today is a 壬申 day — the Ren Shen day. Each animal's result is the classical relationship between that day branch and its own: six-harmony, three-harmony, clash, harm, or nothing formal. Then the day's element is checked against the animal's element, which decides whether the day feeds it.

What a daily reading is — and what it is not

It is a description of emphasis: which part of the day is likely to press, and what working with it looks like. Nothing here tells you what will happen. A reading that says the day favours review does not say your review will succeed; it says the day is shaped for that kind of attention.

Nothing here substitutes for professional advice on money, health, law or relationships. Read it the way you would read a weather report: it tells you what to bring, not what will happen.

Common questions

Why does this page change when I reload it tomorrow?

Because the input changes. The Moon moves roughly 13° a day, so the aspect it throws to your Sun changes with it, and the day's stem-and-branch pair advances one step every single day. The reading is not stored; it is recomputed from the date.

Which sign should I read — Sun or rising?

These are Sun-sign readings. If you know your rising sign, reading both is normal and useful: the Sun describes the day's tone, the ascendant tends to describe how it lands on you.

Do I need my birth time for this?

No — that is what makes a daily reading different from a chart reading. A daily reading needs only today's date, because it reads the day's sky. A full BaZi or Zi Wei reading needs your birth data, because it reads your chart.

I was born on a cusp. Which sign am I?

Cusps are a function of the Sun's exact longitude at your birth, which moves by a degree a day and changes year to year. Use the zodiac finder with your birth date instead of relying on a printed date range.

Your chart, not just today

A daily reading uses the sky. A chart reading uses you.

Your four pillars are fixed for life; what changes is what each month and year does to them. That is the part a daily page cannot tell you.
