Fighting

Fighting is read as opposition made physical — a conflict that has stopped being discussed. Metal against Metal. Traditional reading asks who the opponent was, since an unnamed opponent and a known one are different readings.

Actions are read as comments on capacity and agency. Fighting is read as opposition made physical — a conflict that has stopped being discussed. Traditional readings focus on whether you were doing it or watching it happen. Fighting without being able to land anything — the widely reported slow-motion variant — is read as opposition entered without effect.

Sources treat fighting as the image of a conflict that has become direct, and the outcome is less read than the opponent's identity. It is grouped under Metal (金) in the five-element system.
