What Fire does to Earth

In a chart this shows as a talent for turning experience into structure. Fire-Earth people tend to build institutions out of enthusiasms — the project becomes a company, the habit becomes a system — and the mechanism is exactly the classical image: the flame does the visible work and the ash does the lasting work. Neither is more valuable, but only one of them is still there in the morning.

The cost is that the producing phase is spent. Fire that generates Earth continuously is a chart that gives away its heat to make something stable, and the person experiences this as getting older faster than their peers — the same energy, less of it available for display. The classical reading does not treat this as loss. It treats it as the normal direction of the cycle.

How much weight this carries

Fire feeding Earth is the most comfortable of the four relations and the one most likely to be overdone. A chart that gives continuously with nothing feeding it back reads as generous and then, years later, as exhausted. The relation describes a flow, not an obligation.
