The Parents Palace (父母宫) describes the relationship with your parents — and, because parents are a child's first encounter with authority, it also describes how you handle every authority since: teachers, bosses, the state, the law.

How practitioners read the 父母宫
The palace works in both directions: it describes your parents' influence on you, and your lifelong style with anyone who stands where they stood.
A bright supportive star here reads as backing — parents and institutions that open doors. A dim star reads as early self-reliance: doors that had to be pushed. Both biographies work; they just start differently.
Compare with the Siblings Palace to separate vertical from horizontal family bonds. A strong Parents palace with a weak Siblings palace is the only-child-with-strong-parents structure; the reverse is the sibling-tight one.
